History of Gadbrook Park
Gadbrook Park commenced in 1984 by a Partnership Agreement between Vale Royal Borough Council and Osborne House.
Chairman of Osborne House, John Fifield, saw the potential of this site to build a business park as ideal for businesses wishing to relocate to an environment where space and landscaped gardens replace the hustle and bustle of city centre life.
The 100 acre office site was chosen because of its fantastic road network links; Junction 19 on the M6 is less than five minutes drive, Manchester Airport is 20 minutes away and Crewe Train Station is 20 minutes drive providing an hourly service to London Euston (1hr 50 Minutes).
From 1984 onwards, the following ‘design and build’ offices were built:
Barclays Bank 100,000 sq ft
Astra Zeneca 25,000 sq ft
Tarmac- McLean Homes 12,650 sq ft
British Coal 12,500 sq ft
BPB Paper & Packaging 12,500 sq ft
Amec- CV Buchan 12,000 sq ft
Hager Powertech 3,500 sq ft
Cheshire Guidance Partnership 4,000 sq ft
De La Rue 2,500 sq ft
Fifield Glyn 1,900 sq ft
Since the 1980’s, many other ‘design and build’ developments have been built on
Osborne House's latest build is the café bar and shop development on Gadbrook Mews built in September 2007 and a 156 space car park for Barclays Bank completed in July 2008.
